Insurance Support Through Lactation Network

I've partnered with the Lactation Network, which helps secure insurance coverage for families. The following plans may be eligible:

• Some Cigna PPO plans
• All PNOA plans
• Most Multiplan policies (common among Willis-Knighton employees)
• Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA CCN), with assistance from your Maternity Care Coordinator

*Tricare Coverage Update: Effective June 1, 2025, Lactation Resource Center will no longer accept Tricare, and services will not be reimbursed by Tricare; however, I'm proud to support military families and will continue to offer a $25 military discount for active duty families.*

All Other Insurance Plans (Including BCBS) Many other insurance plans do cover lactation services, but coverage varies. Here's what you need to know:

• Contact your insurance provider before your visit to confirm your breastfeeding support benefits.
• Your insurance may require preauthorization and/or a physician referral.
• You may need to request a "Provisional" or "Gap Exception" to receive coverage.

After your visit, you'll receive a detailed, coded receipt that you can submit for reimbursement.
Note: We do not contact or bill insurance companies on your behalf, but we'll ensure you have the necessary paperwork for submission.
Assistance with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) policies is available upon request.

Important: Coverage is not guaranteed. If you're having trouble with your insurer, you can use a sample script from the National Women's Law Center Tool Kit to advocate for your benefits.

Payment Options

For clients not using insurance, I accept the following forms of payment:

• Cash
• Checks
• Credit cards, including:
  • FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards
  • HSA (Health Savings Account) cards

Client Responsibility for Insurance Verification

Clients are responsible for verifying their insurance coverage prior to their consultation. If verification is not completed before the appointment, payment will be due at the time of the visit. If insurance coverage is later confirmed, the consultation fee will be refunded minus a $5 handling fee.
